Kidney Stones are for the Birds

Yesterday March 13 was a very eventful day for me and Miley. I spent the day in the Creston Hospital with a kidney stone. I had some excrutiating pain yesterday morning and decided to go to the doctor. I wasn't sure if I was in labor or what was going on. The doctor checked Miley was doing fine her heart rate was fine and I was not dialated at all, so I wasn't in labor. They found some blood in my urine so they thought I had a kidney stone. I had an ultrasound on my kidneys and they decided that is what was wrong. So they hooked me up to an IV so I could get some fluids until I flushed it out. So I did have some pain medication but I couldn't have very much since I am so far a long, so the whole darn day was filled with pain and I was pooped and still am a little this morning. But as soon as the tiny stone was gone, i felt 95% better, it was amazing. Now it all seems like a dream. The doctor and a couple of nurses told me that kidney stones were more painful then labor so I had a trial run yesterday and made it just fine. It was PAINFUL!!! But it is all over now. I did get to be on the floor and in one of the deliveries rooms that I will be in a few weeks and had some of the nurses I will have, so I got to see a little bit of where I will be and who will take care of me it was kind of nice. But, all is well now. After I have Miley they will do some xrays to make sure that there aren't anymore stones just waiting to come down, for now I have to drink atleast 2 Liters of water a day.
